What's The Meaning Of Last Week's Solar Eclipse?
The sun is a powerful force.
If you were lucky enough to view last week’s eclipse, you are probably somewhat still feeling the effects. Whether you viewed the eclipse partially or in full totality, it was undoubtedly an unbelievably powerful experience to have been a part of.
Solar eclipses have a strong influence on all living beings. For animals, especially those in the line of full totality, the eclipse is likely a once-in-a-lifetime experience, causing a disorienting shift in behavior. Many animals begin to participate in nighttime routines at totality occurs. For birds this could mean retiring to their nest and performing their dusk serenade and then quieting down the “night.” A few minutes later when the eclipse ends, they return to their normal pattern as if it is day again.
For humans, the effect of the eclipse are just as robust.
Many believe that solar eclipses are a celestial symbolism for change. Eclipses, especially last week’s, will hold different meaning and vary in effects depending on your astrological chart.
Astrologers say that those who have birthdays that fall of the 21st of the month will particularly feel affected by the eclipse. Of the twelve sun signs, Leos are the most likely to have felt strong internal shifts from the phenomenon because the sun is their ruler. Some astrologers also say that Aquarius, Taurus and and Scorpio zodiac signs who were born at the end of their signs and Virgo, Sagittarius, Gemini and Pisces zodiac signs who were born at the start of their signs will feel strong effects.
So what does this all mean?
An eclipse is the universe’s way of telling us to move forward. Some people perhaps experienced a significant personal breakthrough in how they see the world. For others, the eclipse might have held more concrete symbols of change such as a birth, a proposal, or a promotion. Yet most likely, the effects were more discreet and unfold more gradually.
We like to think of last week’s celestial phenomenon as a new chapter, with new beginnings and new opportunities.
